Finding yourself

Identity. Self-definition. Who are you? “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2. Still about the feeling of being stuck!!! As you yearn to evolve, the dilema is not knowing what you are evolving out of to what you are becoming. From our earlier discussions, you are in dilema as to whether you are a caterpillar wishing to become a butterfly, you wonder whether you are in the pit or potiopher's house. And this dilema can keep your journey of evolving more streneous, and therefore, today I want to invite you to a journey of self discovery, self definition, finding you....IDENTITY!!! Do you know what you are evolving out of—and, more importantly,  who you are becoming? The journey of evolution begins with a very important question: Who are am I? Not who am I as someone's wife. Not who am I as someone's mother. Not who am I according to my qualifications, my career, my family, my social standing or my accompli...

Becoming her, One small step at a time.

So, last week you decided you were going to evolve. You were tired of feeling stuck. Tired of repeating the same patterns. Tired of watching life happen around you while knowing there was another version of you somewhere inside—waiting to emerge. You said,  “Something has to change.” And perhaps you entered this week expecting to feel different. More disciplined. More confident. More organised. More prayerful. More courageous. And true to this promise to yourself, the weekend might have been promising. It began with a strong resolve within you, I am changing, I am moving, I am evolving, its the season, its the time. Thank you Sumpie for this, this is really what I need ; But instead? Monday came with its usual pressures. Tuesday reminded you of an old habit you thought you were ready to leave behind. By Wednesday, you were questioning whether anything was really changing at all. And now you are looking at yourself thinking: “Maybe I am not making progress.” But what if you are? Wha...

The Reigning Woman

Do I Need Permission to Evolve? Sometimes what we call being stuck is the tension between who we have been and the woman within us asking to become. It’s Friday....…yay... The weekend is finally here. There was a time when Friday came with excitement. You could almost break into your own  “Thank God it’s Friday!” celebration. But these days, the Fridays feel different. Yes, the releif from reports, deadlines and meetings is undeniable; but as you think about the weekend, you cannot help the creeping mental list of your other life responsibilities; The househelp who threatened to leave at the end of the month. The pending conversation that you desperately want to have with your spouse- but you already fear you will not be heard. You think, perhaps, you will keep quiet...again...and hope they will come around next month. Your toddler, who is waiting for quality time with Mummy after a week of seeing you disappear before sunrise and return after bedtime. Your ageing parents, who are h...
Why Blessed Reign Exists: The woman I believe we can become There comes a time in a woman’s life when she begins to ask deeper questions: Who am I becoming? Am I living intentionally? Am I stewarding well what God has placed in my hands? For many women, life can quickly become a collection of responsibilities. We are daughters, wives, mothers, professionals, entrepreneurs, caregivers, leaders and friends. We pour into many people and carry many expectations. Yet somewhere in the middle of all that responsibility, we can lose sight of the woman God is calling us to become. Blessed Reign Initiative was born from a desire to create spaces where women can pause, learn, heal, grow and intentionally build their lives. What Does It Mean to Reign? For me, reigning is not about status, titles or being above others. It is about  stewardship . It is learning to take responsibility for the life, gifts, resources, relationships and opportunities God has entrusted to us. A reigning woman is not ...
